This podcast was created by Felicity Ford during a residency at the Prick Your Finger Gallery in London between 4th - 12th May, 2011.

Using the results of an online survey and interviews recorded in Prick Your Finger, KNITSONIK explores the sonic world of wool, exploring what knitters listen to when they knit; what knitters can hear when they knit; and what can be done to utilise the special quietness of wool and knitted fabric itself.

The podcast is the first in a series of projects being developed by artist Felicity Ford in this area and features the words of:

Rachael
Louise
Rosie
Tom
Anthony
Mark
Masaki
Kim
Jake
Caroline
Colleen
Rachel

It also features a host of original jingles and sound recordings by Felicity Ford, and a top twenty knitting sounds hit parade read by Mark Stanley.
